✉️ Send a review request manually

Ask any customer for a review by hand, send a scheduled request early, and what to do when a request can't be sent. Every plan includes 50 a month.

Automatic requests cover every order. For anything else, like an order from before you installed Quoli, a customer you met at a market or a product you gave away, send a request by hand. It's also how you ask a customer again, since a request can't be resent. It goes out right away, as your usual review request email.

Allowance: 50 a month on every plan

Products: Up to 10 in one request

Sending a manual review request for two products

Send a manual request

  1. Open Reviews ▸ Review requests and scroll to Manual review requests at the bottom.

  2. Click Send a manual request.

  3. Enter the customer's name and email, click Add products and pick up to 10.

  4. Click Send request.

The request goes out right away, and a message confirms who it went to.

The manual review request form with its parts numbered

➀ Manual requests this month. How many of your 50 you've used, and when they renew.

➁ The customer. Their name, as it will show on their review, and their email.

➂ Products to review. The email asks for a review of each one. A chip's ✕ takes a product off.

➃ Send request. Turns on once there's a name, a valid email and at least one product.

The customer gets your review request email with those products, from your sender and in your email template. It goes out even when the Review request email is switched off, since that switch stops only the automatic requests. The request shows at the top of the list with a Manual request badge.

From a customer's profile

In Reviews ▸ Customer profiles, Request a review on a customer's row opens the same form with their name and email filled in. Pick the products and send.

Send a scheduled request now

Review requests with Send now on the scheduled orders

➀ Send now. Sends that order's request today instead of on its scheduled day.

It shows on fulfilled orders that haven't had their request yet. An order still Waiting for fulfillment waits, and an order that already had one is never asked twice. Send now uses one of your plan's monthly review requests, not one of your 50 manual ones.

What a manual request uses

Each one uses one of your 50 manual requests a month and one of your plan's monthly review requests. When either runs out, Send request turns off and the form says when they renew.

When a request can't be sent

Quoli tells you why in a message, and nothing is sent.

  • This month's review requests are used up. Wait for your plan to renew, or upgrade in Plans and what each one includes.

  • The address is on your email blocklist. Take it off in Settings ▸ Emails ▸ Email blocklist if you do want to ask them.

  • The customer unsubscribed from review requests. Nothing: they asked not to get them.

  • Emails to the address bounce. Check the address with the customer.

  • The email address isn't valid. Fix the typo and send again.

  • The email service didn't accept the request. Try again in a few minutes.

💡 Tip: Ask right after a good moment, like a support chat that ended well or a thank-you note from a customer. A request then gets a yes far more often than one out of the blue.
