📨 How reviews arrive: trend, sources and requests

The How reviews arrive section of Analytics: reviews and requests over time, where reviews come from, the review request funnel and email deliverability.

How reviews arrive answers the first question about reviews: are enough coming in? It shows them day by day, where they come from, and where your review requests lose people on the way to a review.

How reviews arrive with its parts numbered

➀ Reviews and requests over time. Reviews collected, or review requests sent, per day, or per week or month over longer dates. Reviews and Requests switch the chart, and the comparison period is the dashed line.

➁ Review sources. Every review received by where it came from, such as the review email, the on-site form, a QR code or link, an import or the Shop app, with counts and shares. Reviews waiting for approval count too. View reviews opens them in Reviews.

➂ Review request funnel. What happened to the requests delivered in the period: how many were opened, clicked and turned into a review, each with its share of the step before.

➃ Email deliverability. Delivery, open and click rates, with their change on the comparison period.

Email apps don't report every open and click, so a step can be larger than the one before it. Read the funnel for where most people drop, not for exact counts. View requests opens Reviews ▸ Review requests.

What to try

Delivered to opened

A clearer subject line, or a sender name customers know. See Settings ▸ Emails.

Opened to clicked

A shorter message, so the five stars to tap sit near the top of the email.

Clicked to reviewed

Fewer required questions on your review form, or a reward for photos and videos.

Few delivered at all

Check when requests go out, and that review requests are on.

When review requests are off, the funnel offers Schedule review requests. When nothing came in during the dates, the cards say so and offer the next step, like importing reviews.

💡 Tip: If Review email isn't your top source, your requests aren't reaching enough customers. Most stores get most of their reviews from the request email once it's tuned.
