Switching from Loox to Quoli? This guide walks you through the entire migration — from exporting your Loox reviews to importing them into Quoli and going live. Quoli has built-in CSV mapping for Loox exports, making the transition seamless.
💡 Good to know: Quoli has pre-built CSV mapping for Loox exports. No manual column reformatting needed — just export from Loox, upload to Quoli, and the system maps everything automatically.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
1. An active Quoli account with the app installed on your Shopify store.
2. Access to your Loox dashboard to export reviews.
3. A backup of your Loox data (recommended before any migration).
Step 1: Export Reviews from Loox
1. Log in to your Loox account and go to Manage Reviews.
2. Click "Export all reviews to .csv file".
3. Download the CSV file to your computer.
⚠️ Important: This exports all your reviews at once. Make sure the download completes fully before proceeding.
Step 2: Import into Quoli
1. In your Quoli dashboard, go to Reviews → Import/Export.
2. Click Import Reviews.
3. Select "Import from other apps".
4. Choose Loox from the dropdown menu.
5. Upload the CSV file you exported from Loox.
6. Quoli automatically maps all Loox CSV columns — review text, star rating, customer name, product, date, and photo attachments.
7. Preview the mapping to confirm everything looks correct.
8. Click Import to start the process.
Step 3: Review & Publish
Imported reviews are set to pending by default.
1. Go to Reviews → All Reviews and filter by Pending.
2. Spot-check reviews for accuracy — ratings, text, customer names, and product associations.
3. Use Bulk Actions → Publish All to approve all at once, or review individually.
4. Check your storefront to confirm reviews display correctly.
Step 4: Go Live & Clean Up
1. Set up your Quoli widgets — see 🧩 Widgets Library Overview.
2. Configure review request automation — see 📦 Orders & Review Requests.
3. Uninstall Loox from your Shopify admin to avoid conflicts.
4. Remove any Loox code snippets or theme modifications from your Shopify theme.
💡 Pro Tip: Loox is primarily photo-focused. When switching to Quoli, take advantage of text reviews, Q&A, attributes, and nuggets — features that go well beyond photo reviews.
What Gets Migrated
Included: Review text, star ratings, customer names, customer emails, review dates, product associations, and photo attachments.
Not included: Loox-specific features like referral programs, happy/unhappy customer automations, or video reviews (if not included in the CSV export).
Troubleshooting
Products not matching: Quoli matches reviews to products using product handles or IDs. If some reviews aren't linked correctly, verify your Shopify product catalog is current.
Missing photos: If photo URLs in the Loox CSV have expired or are broken, the images can't be imported. Ensure you run the migration soon after exporting from Loox.
Duplicate reviews: Running the import multiple times may create duplicates. Filter and remove them from the Reviews dashboard.
