πŸ“₯ Importing Reviews

Import reviews into Quoli from AliExpress, CSV files, or other review apps β€” with automatic column mapping and duplicate detection.

Updated today

Quoli makes it easy to import reviews from multiple sources β€” whether you're bringing in reviews from AliExpress, uploading a CSV file, or migrating from another review app. All imports are managed from Quoli Dashboard β†’ Reviews β†’ Import/Export.

Import Methods

Quoli supports three ways to import reviews:

AliExpress One-Click Import β€” Import reviews directly from any AliExpress product page using a browser bookmarklet.

Import from Other Apps β€” Upload a CSV exported from another review app (Loox, Judge.me, Yotpo, Stamped, Okendo, etc.). Quoli has pre-built column mappings for all major competitors, so your data maps automatically.

Import from CSV β€” Upload any generic CSV file with review data. Quoli's column mapper lets you match your CSV fields to Quoli's review fields.

Importing from AliExpress

Quoli's one-click AliExpress import lets you pull product reviews directly from AliExpress product pages into your store β€” great for quickly building social proof on new products.

Step 1: Go to Quoli Dashboard β†’ Reviews β†’ Import/Export.

Step 2: Find the "Import to Quoli" bookmarklet button and drag it to your browser's bookmarks bar.

Step 3: Navigate to any AliExpress product page with the reviews you want to import.

Step 4: Click the "Import to Quoli" bookmark in your browser bar. The reviews from that product page will be pulled into Quoli.

Step 5: Imported reviews appear as pending in your Reviews dashboard. Review and approve them before they go live on your store.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Make sure you're logged into your Shopify store before using the bookmarklet. The import only pulls reviews from the specific AliExpress product page you're viewing.

Importing from Other Review Apps

Switching from another review app? Quoli has pre-built CSV mappings for all major competitors, so your export file is automatically matched to the right fields β€” no manual column mapping needed.

Step 1: Export your reviews from your current app as a CSV file. (Check their help docs for export instructions.)

Step 2: In Quoli, go to Reviews β†’ Import/Export β†’ Import from other apps.

Step 3: Select the platform you're importing from (e.g., Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, Stamped, Okendo) in the dropdown.

Step 4: Upload your CSV file. Quoli will automatically map the columns based on the selected platform.

Step 5: Preview the mapping to confirm everything looks correct, then click Import.

Step 6: Imported reviews appear as pending. Review and publish them from your Reviews dashboard.

Importing from a Generic CSV

Have reviews stored in a spreadsheet or exported from a platform Quoli doesn't have a pre-built mapping for? You can upload any CSV and manually map the columns.

Step 1: Prepare your CSV file with these recommended columns: Product Name, Customer Name, Review Text, Star Rating (1-5), and Date (YYYY-MM-DD format).

Step 2: Go to Reviews β†’ Import/Export β†’ Import from CSV.

Step 3: Upload your file. Quoli will display a column mapping screen.

Step 4: Match each column in your CSV to the corresponding Quoli field. You can download a sample CSV from this screen for reference.

Step 5: Preview the data, then click Import.

Step 6: Imported reviews appear as pending for your review and approval.

After Importing

All imported reviews land in your Reviews dashboard with a pending status. This gives you the chance to review the content before publishing. From the dashboard you can approve reviews individually or in bulk, reject or delete any reviews that don't meet your standards, and filter by status to quickly find pending imports.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: After importing, use Quoli's auto-publish rules to automatically approve reviews that meet certain criteria (e.g., 4+ stars with photos), saving you time on manual moderation.

Troubleshooting

CSV upload failing: Make sure your file is saved as .csv (not .xlsx or .xls). Check that the file isn't empty and that column headers are present in the first row.

Reviews not matching to products: Quoli matches reviews to products using product name or handle. Ensure the product names in your CSV match your Shopify product names exactly.

Duplicate reviews after import: Quoli detects duplicates based on reviewer name + review text + product. If you see duplicates, check if the same reviews were imported twice from different sources.

AliExpress bookmarklet not working: Try clearing your browser cookies and make sure you're logged into your Shopify store. The bookmarklet may not work on all AliExpress product pages.
