Automated review requests are the backbone of your social proof strategy. Once configured, Quoli sends review request emails to your customers after every purchase β on autopilot. Most merchants see a 5β15% review submission rate from automated emails alone.
Before you start
Make sure you've completed the Quoli onboarding and enabled the core script.
Your store should have at least one fulfilled order (or a test order) to verify the automation.
Set up automated review requests
Open Quoli from your Shopify admin sidebar.
Click Reviews in the left menu.
Select the Collect Reviews tab at the top.
Click Collect & publish on autopilot in the left panel.
You'll see the automation settings panel. Here's what each option does:
Send email
Choose how many days after the trigger event to send the first review request. Options range from Never to 70 days.
For most stores, 6β14 days after fulfillment works best β long enough for the product to arrive, soon enough that the experience is fresh.
After (trigger event)
Select what triggers the countdown for sending the email:
Purchase β countdown starts when the order is placed.
Fulfillment β countdown starts when the order is marked as shipped. (Recommended for most stores.)
Delivery β countdown starts when the carrier confirms delivery. Requires a shipping integration like AfterShip.
Review request reminder
Toggle this to Enabled to automatically send a follow-up email if the customer hasn't submitted a review after the first request.
Set the Send After field to choose how many days after the first email the reminder goes out (1β14 days). We recommend 3 days β close enough to stay top of mind without being pushy.
Auto-publish new reviews
Control which reviews go live automatically without manual moderation:
All reviews β every review is published instantly.
5 stars only / 4 stars & above / 3 stars & above β only reviews at or above the selected rating are auto-published.
Never β all reviews require manual approval.
π‘ Pro Tip: Start with 4 stars & above for auto-publish. This keeps your storefront looking strong while giving you a chance to respond to lower-rated reviews before they go live. You can always adjust later.
Click Save to apply your settings.
Verify it's working
After saving, go to the Orders tab in Quoli. You should see your recent fulfilled orders with a Scheduled status β this confirms the automation is live and emails will go out on the date shown.
π‘ Pro Tip: Place a test order on your store and fulfill it to see the full flow end-to-end. This way you can preview exactly what your customers will receive.
Best practices for higher review rates
Use "Fulfillment" as your trigger β it aligns the email with when the customer actually receives the product.
Keep timing between 7β14 days β gives customers enough time to try the product.
Enable the reminder β a single follow-up can increase your review rate by 30β40%.
