Shoppers read your answers, and ask their own questions, in the Questions tab beside your reviews. Every answer you publish works as a product FAQ for everyone who comes after.

The Questions tab
➀ Questions. The tab, with how many answered questions the product has.
➁ Search. Finds words in the questions and answers, and highlights them.
➂ Sort. Most recent or Oldest.
➃ Ask a question. Opens the question form, which asks for the question, a name and an email.
➄ The question. With the shopper's name and when they asked. Names read the way your review display is set, here a first name and an initial.
➅ Your answer. With your store's name, a Store tag and the date.
Only answered questions show. A new one waits in Questions in your admin until you answer it, and the shopper gets your answer by email, as Answer customer questions explains.
Show or hide the tab
Each widget has its own settings in your theme editor. Select the block on a product page:
Block | Setting | What it does |
PDP Reviews Widget | Surfaces shown | Reviews and questions as two tabs (the default), Reviews only, or Questions only. |
PDP Reviews Widget | Reviews tab label, Questions tab label | The tab names, when both show. |
Grid Reviews Widget | Show Reviews / Questions tabs | On by default. Off shows reviews only. |
Both | Show 'Ask a question' button | On by default. Off, shoppers read answers but can't ask. |
Hiding the tab keeps every question and answer in your admin. A product with no reviews yet still shows Ask a question beside Write a review, while the button is on.
💡 Tip: Open the tab with answers already in it. Import ten real questions from your support inbox, with their answers, before you turn it on, as Import and export questions shows.
