Bring in the questions your customers already ask, with your answers, so your product pages open with them. Or download your questions to edit them in a spreadsheet and bring them back.
Where: Questions ▸ Import, in the title bar
File: A CSV in Quoli's question format, up to 10 MB
Plans: Every plan
The popup
➀ Your file. Drop a CSV here, or click Choose a file. It imports straight away.
➁ The result. How many rows came in and how many have a published answer, then the first 8 rows that couldn't, each with its row number and why, and how many more there are.
➂ Template and sample. A blank file with every column, and three sample rows to copy.
➃ What to export. Status: all, pending, answered or archived questions. Asked: all time, the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or the last 12 months.
➄ The count. How many questions match.
➅ Export CSV. Downloads them, in the same columns the import reads.
The file
product_id. The product's ID, numbers only. Needed.
handle, variant. The product's handle and variant, for your own reference.
question_content. The question. Needed.
asker_name, asker_email, question_date. Who asked and when.
status. Answered, Pending or Archived.
answer_content, answerer_name, answer_date. Your answer, the name it shows under, and when.
helpful_votes, nothelpful_votes. How many shoppers found the answer helpful or not.
question_id, answer_id, verified, source. Filled in by an export. Leave them empty in a new file.
Only product_id and question_content are needed. The other columns are optional, in any order. An answered row with an answer shows on its product page as soon as it's imported. Shoppers in an imported file are never emailed, even when you answer their question later.
What the result means
Already in your store and skipped. The store has that question already, so it isn't imported twice.
Marked deleted in the file and skipped. The row is marked as deleted, as other apps' exports can have.
Row 5: no question_content. The row has no question. Others say no product_id, an unknown status, or a value that couldn't be read.
The column headings don't match. The file's headings aren't Quoli's. Start from the blank template.
Couldn't import that file. Quoli couldn't finish this time. Import the same file again: questions already in are skipped.
Fix the rows that couldn't import and import the file again: the questions already in come back as skipped. Imported questions don't count toward your average response time.
💡 Tip: Your support inbox is a ready FAQ. Copy the ten questions you answer most into the template, with your answers, and import them before you open the Questions tab on your store.
