Switching from Yotpo to Quoli? This guide walks you through the entire migration process β from exporting your Yotpo reviews to importing them into Quoli and going live on your store. The whole process takes just a few minutes thanks to Quoli's built-in Yotpo CSV mapping.
π‘ Good to know: Quoli has pre-built CSV mapping for Yotpo exports. You don't need to reformat or adjust any columns β just export from Yotpo, upload to Quoli, and the system handles the rest.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
1. An active Quoli account with the app installed on your Shopify store.
2. Access to your Yotpo dashboard to export reviews.
3. A backup of your Yotpo data (recommended before any migration).
Step 1: Export Reviews from Yotpo
1. Log in to your Yotpo dashboard.
2. Navigate to Reviews β All Reviews.
3. Click the Export button (usually top-right of the reviews table).
4. Select Export as CSV and choose to export all reviews.
5. Download the CSV file to your computer.
β οΈ Important: Make sure you export all reviews (published, hidden, and pending) to ensure nothing is lost during migration. You can filter and manage them in Quoli after import.
Step 2: Import into Quoli
1. In your Quoli dashboard, go to Reviews β Import/Export.
2. Click Import Reviews.
3. Select "Import from other apps".
4. Choose Yotpo from the dropdown menu.
5. Upload the CSV file you exported from Yotpo.
6. Quoli will automatically map all Yotpo CSV columns to the correct fields β review text, star rating, customer name, product, date, and photo/video attachments.
7. Preview the mapping to confirm everything looks correct.
8. Click Import to start the process.
Depending on the number of reviews, the import may take a few seconds to a couple of minutes. Quoli will notify you when it's complete.
Step 3: Review & Publish
Imported reviews are set to pending by default so you can review them before they go live.
1. Go to Reviews β All Reviews and filter by Pending status.
2. Spot-check a handful of reviews to verify data accuracy β ratings, text, customer names, and product associations should all match.
3. Use Bulk Actions β Publish All to approve all imported reviews at once, or review them individually.
4. Check your storefront to confirm reviews are displaying correctly in your widgets.
Step 4: Go Live & Clean Up
Once you've verified the import:
1. Set up your Quoli widgets if you haven't already β see 𧩠Widgets Library Overview.
2. Configure your review request automation β see π¦ Orders & Review Requests.
3. Uninstall the Yotpo app from your Shopify admin to avoid conflicts.
4. Remove any Yotpo code snippets or theme modifications from your Shopify theme.
π‘ Pro Tip: Before uninstalling Yotpo, take screenshots of any custom configurations (email templates, widget styles) so you can replicate them in Quoli.
What Gets Migrated
Included in migration: Review text, star ratings, customer names, customer emails, review dates, product associations, and photo/video attachments (where available in the export).
Not included: Yotpo-specific features like loyalty points, referral data, or custom Q&A threads. These are Yotpo-proprietary and aren't part of the standard review export.
Troubleshooting
Products not matching: Quoli matches reviews to products using product handles or IDs. If some reviews aren't associated with the right product, check that your Shopify product catalog hasn't changed since the reviews were originally collected.
Missing photos/videos: Some Yotpo exports may not include media file URLs depending on your Yotpo plan. If media isn't in the CSV, it can't be imported.
Duplicate reviews after import: If you run the import more than once, duplicates may appear. Use the Reviews dashboard to filter and remove any duplicates.
