✉️ Send Manual Review Requests

Send one-off or targeted review requests to specific customers — perfect for VIP orders, past customers, or re-engagement.

Updated this week

While automated emails handle your day-to-day review collection, manual review requests let you target specific customers. This is useful for reaching past customers who ordered before you installed Quoli, following up on VIP orders, or re-engaging loyal buyers.

Send a manual review request

  1. Open Quoli from your Shopify admin.

  2. Click Orders in the left menu.

  3. Click the Send manual review request button at the top of the page.

  4. Fill in the request details:

    • Email — the customer's email address.

    • Product(s) — select which product(s) you want the customer to review.

    • Subject line — customize the email subject (or use the default).

  5. Click Send Now.

The customer will receive your review request email immediately with a link to the Review Collection Form.

⚠️ Heads up: Every Quoli plan includes 50 free manual review requests per month. These reset monthly and are separate from your automated email quota.

When to use manual requests

  • Past customers — reach customers who ordered before you installed Quoli. They already know your product and are likely to leave quality reviews.

  • VIP or high-value orders — personally request reviews from your best customers for more detailed, authentic feedback.

  • Missed automations — if an automated email was cancelled or failed, send a manual follow-up.

  • New product launches — kickstart reviews on a new product by reaching out to customers who bought similar items.

💡 Pro Tip: After importing reviews from a previous app, use manual requests to fill gaps on products that didn't transfer with enough reviews. Target customers from the last 60 days for the best response rates.

Track your manual requests

After sending, you can track the status of all manual requests in the Orders tab. Look for the Request Status column — it'll show whether the email was sent, scheduled, or completed. See Track Post-Purchase Review Requests for a full guide.
