Customize your review request emails β€” colors, content, subject lines, tone, and CTA styling β€” all from Quoli's built-in Email Editor.

Updated today

Quoli's Email Editor gives you full control over how your review request emails look and feel. Customize colors, content, subject lines, and tone β€” all without touching any code.

Accessing the Email Editor

Go to Quoli Dashboard β†’ Emails and click Edit on any template to open the Email Editor.

Global Email Styling

These settings control the overall visual appearance of your email and apply across the entire template.

Background Color: Sets the overall email background. Use your brand's primary or secondary color to keep emails visually consistent with your store.

Text Color: Controls the main body text color. Black or dark grey on a light background gives the best readability. Avoid light text on light backgrounds.

CTA Fill Color: The background color of your call-to-action button. Choose a color that contrasts with the email background so it stands out immediately.

CTA Outline Color: Adds a border around the CTA button. Use the same color as the fill for a clean look, or a darker shade for a subtle shadow effect.

CTA Text Color: The text inside the CTA button. White text on a dark or vibrant button color is the most common and effective combination.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Keep your color scheme simple β€” stick to 2-3 brand colors max. Too many colors make emails look unprofessional and reduce click-through rates.

Email Content

This section controls what your customers actually see and read in the email.

Tone Selection: Choose from Friendly, Professional, Persuasive, or Supportive. This adjusts the default copy to match your brand voice. You can further customize the text after selecting a tone.

Subject Line: The first thing customers see in their inbox. Make it count. Use dynamic variables like {product_name} and {customer_name} for personalization. Examples:

β€’ "How's your {product_name} working out, {customer_name}?"

β€’ "We'd love your feedback on your recent purchase"

β€’ "Share your thoughts on {product_name}"

Preview Text: The snippet that appears after the subject line in the inbox. It should complement (not repeat) the subject line and give customers a reason to open the email.

Dynamic Variables

Quoli automatically replaces these variables with real customer and order data:

{customer_name} β€” The customer's first name from the order

{product_name} β€” The name of the purchased product

{product_image} β€” The product's featured image

{order_number} β€” The Shopify order number

These variables work in both subject lines and email body content. Personalized emails consistently see higher open and click-through rates.

Testing & Sending

Before your emails go live, always test them:

1. Send a test email. Click the Send Test Email button in the editor to send a preview to your own email address. Check how it renders across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail β€” formatting can vary between clients.

2. Check on mobile. Over 60% of emails are opened on mobile devices. Make sure your CTA button is tappable and the text is readable without zooming.

3. Save your changes. Click Save when you're satisfied. Your customizations are applied immediately to all future review request emails using that template.

⚠️ Important: Changes to your email template apply to all future emails sent with that template. Emails already sent or queued are not affected.

Best Practices

Subject line personalization: Including the customer's name or product name can increase open rates by 20-30%. Use the dynamic variables β€” they're there for a reason.

Keep copy concise: The best-performing review request emails are short and direct. A brief thank-you, a clear ask, and a prominent button. Don't over-explain.

CTA button text: Use clear, action-oriented text like "Write a Review," "Share Your Experience," or "Rate Your Purchase." Avoid vague text like "Click Here."

Brand consistency: Match your email colors to your store's branding. Customers trust emails more when they visually match the store they purchased from.

Monitor performance: Track open rates, click-through rates, and review submission rates. If numbers are low, experiment with different subject lines, send times, or templates.
