Checkout Nuggets display your best review snippets right at the checkout step β€” the most critical moment in the buying journey. By showing social proof when customers are about to complete their purchase, you reinforce their confidence and reduce last-minute cart abandonment.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Checkout is where hesitation peaks. A well-placed nugget like "Best purchase I've made this year" can be the difference between a completed order and an abandoned cart.

How Checkout Nuggets Work

Checkout Nuggets use Shopify's checkout extensibility to display review snippets alongside the products in a customer's cart. When a customer reaches checkout, they'll see relevant nuggets for the products they're about to buy β€” giving them that final reassurance to complete the purchase.

Checkout Nuggets pull from the same nugget library you manage in your Quoli dashboard. If a product in the cart has active nuggets, they'll appear automatically at checkout.

Setting Up Checkout Nuggets

Step 1: Make sure you have active Nuggets created for your products. If you haven't created any yet, see πŸ’Ž Nuggets Overview & Setup.

Step 2: Go to Quoli Dashboard β†’ Widgets Library.

Step 3: Find "Checkout Nuggets" and click "Add to Checkout".

Step 4: This opens the Shopify Checkout Editor. Position the Checkout Nuggets block where you'd like it to appear (typically near the order summary).

Step 5: Click Save in the Checkout Editor.

⚠️ Requirement: Checkout Nuggets require Shopify's checkout extensibility, which is available on Shopify Plus and supported Basic/Shopify/Advanced plans with checkout extensions enabled.

Best Practices

Focus on trust-building nuggets. At checkout, customers want reassurance. Prioritize nuggets that mention quality, fast shipping, great customer service, or "would buy again" sentiments.

Keep nuggets short and punchy. Checkout pages should feel fast and friction-free. Short nuggets (under 15 words) work best in this context.

Prioritize high-AOV products. Checkout Nuggets have the biggest revenue impact on higher-priced items where purchase hesitation is strongest.
